Dogsend

Hello!

I'm a dog lover. I'm also a writer. My little rescue saved me from a life of daytime solitary confinement, hunched over my desk, stuck in my head...

Boo is a dog that loves a walk. She's a nine, ten, eleven, perhaps even twelve-year-old chiauhau cross Romanian rescue. From the first day I got her she stared at me, watching me tippy-tappying my keyboard, nodding her head up and down, willing me out of the door. Of course, I always obliged, even though that meant two hour hikes, because as I said, this little dog loves a walk and would settle for nothing less.

Then a friend asked me for help with walking her dog and I loved so much that Boo had company. As my friend's dog was a really big dog the long walk remained requisite, and from there things began to develop... Dog-walking is not my profession, it is something I do every day for the love of my dog and because I love being out in nature where I glean inspiration. Earning a small income is another avenue to freedom as Hilary Mantel once said:

If you get stuck, get away from your desk. Take a walk.
